Callicarpa americana
(Shrub to 4 to 8 feet) (Zone 7)  Lavender flowers and large violet fruit in clusters in the fall and winter. This native shrub is excellent for naturalizing and for cut fruiting branches.

Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Crippsii'
(Evergreen shrub to 50 feet) (Zone 4-8) A broad pyramidal form with graceful frond-like branchlets which gently droop at tips.  Sprays of feathery rich golden-yellow foliage changing to green within the plant's interior distinguish this fine-textured evergreen.

(Evergreen shrub 10-15 feet) (Zone 4-8) A compact yellow-foliaged from that performs well in the South.

(Evergreen shrub 10-15 feet) (Zone 4-8) A yellow-foliaged cultivar that holds it color during the hot months in the South.  Looks to be more compact and spreading than 'Gold Mop'

 (shrub to 3 feet) (Zone 3)  Compact form with dark green foliage and fragrant white flowers in June-July. Georgia Gold            Medal winner in 1996.

Clethra alnifolia ‘Ruby Spice’
(shrub to 4 to 8 feet)  (Zone 3) The darkest pink-flowering cultivar available. The flower buds are red before they open. Has or will replace all other pink cultivars.

Cupressocyparis x leylandii
(Evergreen tree to 60 feet) (Zone 6) Fast growing, upright evergreen that maintains its dark green foliage through the winter. Great for screening and Christmas trees. Many people, including myself, have tried for years to replace the Leyland with a better plant, but have yet to succeed. The bottom line is it is still one of the highest demanded plants!

Cupressocyparis x leylandi 'Murray x'
(Evergreen tree to 60 feet) (Zone 6) A finer textured selection that grows faster and has less disease problems than Leyland Cypress.
